The property is covered with brush and small trees. After trying several different types of brush cutters, the best is my Kubota tractor. In this picture you can see the brush we had to go through as well as a cut. The width is about 50" .the width of the tractor bucket and scraper.
We made a drag that levels piles of rock into a bed 21" wide and 1.5" deep. We then lay the track panel on top. We tried several sizes of rock and settled on 5/8 minus.
Here are the panels on the rock base. We have started setting the ballast over the ties. We will next brush the rock even with the top of the ties and form the sides. After a good rain, this track is locked in.
